THE BROADCAST TEAM
 

Who are those guys on the broadcast team?

 

Mark Ducharme - Mark leads the broadcast team for the 15th season as the broadcast play by play specialist. A sport writer by trade you can read his articles in many local newspapers.  He also produces the leagues weekly press release that is also used in our news blast.    He was elected to the league’s hall of fame in 2005.

Bob Heyner - Bob returns to give his extensive hockey background to the radio team for the 9th year as color commentator. As an active veteran of the league he is one of the top 20 all-time scorers with a record of over 100 goals and 150 assists. He was a member of the South Coastal Kings Championship in teams of 1992 & 1995 and helped lead the Grizzlies to a championship 2002. He retired as an active player in 2002 and then came back to join the Saints in the Legends division in 2009 before retiring from playing.  He was elected to the Leagues Hall of Fame in 2004.

Rick Kelly - Rick is in his 15th season as the broadcast producer and color commentator. As a goaltender he was a member of the South Coastal Sharks Senior Championship teams of 1993 & 1994 and holds the record for most wins for a goalie in a row at 21. He helped lead the Blackhawk's of the classics division to their championship in 2000 and a Legends championship in 2010.  He retired as an active player in 2013 after the 25th anniversary game.  One of the founders of the league he now serves as its managing director. He is a charter member of the Leagues Hall of Fame.

Art Riccio - Art brings his experience and leadership to the broadcast as the post-game analyst and color commentator.  A 25 year active veteran of the league he is #6 in the top all time scorers. As was a member of the South Coastal Blackhawk's as the captain of the 2000 championship team. He also serves as the league commissioner and minority owner. He was also the head coach of The CVS/pharmacy All-Star Celebrity hockey team the raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charities around the country for 10 years. He currently plays in the league’s Legends division. He was a charter member of the Leagues Hall of Fame in 2001.

Another major contributor is Bill Sawtelle league VP of player personnel who fills in as play by play and color commentator.  He is currently playing in the leagues Legends division and has played on numerous championship teams in his 25 year career.  He is currently #13 in all-time scoring.  He was a charter member of the Leagues Hall of Fame in 2001.

Other staff includes Jonathan Grabowski and who serves as executive producer of our television broadcast.

The camera staff and music producers are recognized weekly in the broadcast that is played in over 15 communities South of Boston.  See our home page for schedules.
