Shootout, Overtime and Power Play Goals Figure into Victories

By Mark Ducharme

The late game heroics of John Dunn, Jay Faherty and Mike Evans was the story of three games in the South Coastal Hockey League. Dunn scored the game-winning goal in a shootout, Faherty scored a power play goal in overtime and Evans' third period power play goal was the winning goal in his game.
The Stingers and the Toros had a back-and-forth game in their matchup. Dunn, who scored in regulation scored on the final shot of the shoot out as the puck barely made it over the goal line to give the Stingers a 6-5 come from behind win.
