Crusaders Win Third in a Row with Victory over Toros
Saints Shut out Whalers

  The top two teams so far in the Winter Season of the South Coastal Hockey League needed a little bit of extra time to decide the issue. The first-place Sharks got an unassisted goal from Paul LaFond of Hanover with 1:17 left in overtime to defeat the second-place Stingers by the score of 3-2.

Jay Parker, also of Hanover, and Marshfield's Mike Valenti both scored for the Sharks in regulation while Peter Tamborella of Pembroke and Jim Polito scored for the Stingers.
  Chris Harrington of Marshfield scored to tie the game and set up Mike Simon with 1:02 left in the game to give the Crusaders a come from behind, 3-2 win over the Toros. Steve Mudge, also of Marshfield, scored for the Crusaders in the first period. Hanover's Scott Morgan and Paul Lyons of Pembroke each scored a goal for the Toros.

  Kevin Gee of Scituate and Jim Ford both had a goal and an assist each for the Saints in their 4-0 win over the Whalers. Mark Hunt and Kevin Ryan also scored goals and Justin Stratton recorded his first shutout of the season.
