Stingers Come From Behind to Triumph over Crusaders 3-2
Toros Defeat Whalers 5-4 in Overtime

  The Sharks started the South Coastal Hockey League Winter Season by falling behind the Whalers, 3-0 after a period. They not only rallied to win that game 6-5 in overtime, the Sharks have been nearly unstoppable since then. The Sharks have outscored the opposition, 30-4 since that first period and have won six in a row - 11 overall if you count the end of the Fall Season when they won the title which included their 7-1 win over the Saints. Marshfield's Tim Cruz and Daron Jacobs of Pembroke scored two goals and assisted on another one each to lead the Sharks' offense.

Pembroke's Bill Sawtelle, Peter McIntyre and Paul LaFond of Hanover added a goal apiece and Mike Zucarelli had two assists in the game. Jim Ford scored for the Saints in the first period.

Honored to have him back - Jim McNeill returned from deployment

  Reserve goalie Tom Andrade had a big night for himself. Andrade came in for an injured Mark Frano with just over eight minutes left and the Stingers down, 2-1.The Stingers rallied with a goal and assist by Chris Poudrier and a goal by Paul Smyth to beat the Crusaders 3-2. Mike Kennedy scored the other goal in the first period for the Stingers while Mike Simon and Marshfield's Chris Harrington scored for the Crusaders.

  Andrade, who was going to substitute for an injured Toros' goalie Rick Welch then won his second game of the night when Scott Morgan of Hanover scored in overtime to pull out a 5-4 victory over the Whalers. Morgan and Paul Brinkmann both scored two goals each and Norwell's Mark McGreenery added a goal. Jim Holmes of Pembroke had two assists for the Toros. Don Sullivan scored two goals and John Guilderson added a goal and an assist for the Whalers. Eric Morgan had a goal and Tom Piepenbrink had two assists.
