Toros Blank Whalers for First Win of Season

  The Stingers in the South Coastal Hockey League finished sixth in offense during the Fall Season, but things have changed in the first two weeks of Winter Season. They have scored ten goals in the first two games of the Winter Season including four as they came from behind to defeat the Crusaders, 4-3. The Stingers overcame deficits of 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 in the game. Chris Poudrier scored the game-winning goal with 9:48 left in the game. Paul Smyth, Steve Lemish and Joe Murray scored a goal each for the Stingers.

Murray of Norwell added two assists and Hingham's Mark Hallal had three assists in the game. Pembroke's Mike Evans, Pat Byrne of Scituate and Jack Parsons of Marshfield scored the goals for the Crusaders. Marshfield's Chris Harrington assisted on two goals.
  Paul Brinkmann scored two goals and Norwell's Michael Cashin added a goal as the Toros pulled out a 3-0 win over the Whalers. Rick Welch recorded the shutout for the Toros.

  Mike Valentin scored two goals and assisted on another while both Paul LaFond and Jay Parker of Hanover scored a goal each for the Sharks in their 6-0 win over the Saints. Tim Fallon and Art Riccio both added goals and Hanover's Greg Smith recorded the shutout. Mike Zucarelli and Jay Faherty both had two assists in the game.

Roster Changes

South Coastal Hockey management would like to announce a change to the Toros roster. Jeff Vancura is out for the season with an injury.
