Final Game to Decide Playoff Spots
Toros and Saints Look to Snag Fourth Place and Playoff Berth

  The battles for both first and fourth places in the South Coastal Hockey League Winter Season will go down to the final regular season game on Sunday. The game that will decide first-place will be decided between the Sharks and the Crusaders who will meet each other at the Hobomock Arena in Pembroke.
  The Sharks, who have a two point lead over the Crusaders, lost to the Toros 3-0. Steve Figlioli scored two goals and assisted on another to lead the Toros who trail the Saints for the fourth and final playoff spots by two points. The Toros and the Saints play each other on Sunday as the two teams have split their two games so far this season. Paul Brinkmann added a goal and an assist and Tom Andrade posted the shutout for the Toros.

Toros shut out Sharks 3-0

  The Saints got two goals from Derek Knudsen, Bill Knox and Jim Ford added a goal each in the Saints' 4-3 win over the Stingers. John MacLellan of Pembroke and Kevin Ryan both had two assists each in the game. Pembroke's Scott Kelly, John Dunn and Chris Poudrier all scored for the Stingers, who trailed 3-0 in the third period, but their comeback fell short.

Saints keep playoff drive alive with 4-3 win

  Mike Evans of Pembroke scored two goals while Marshfield's Chris Harrington scored a goal and set up three others as the Crusaders won their sixth straight game by scoring five unanswered goals for a 6-3 win over the Whalers. Mike Simon had a goal and two assists, Mark Kaplan and Marshfield's Steve Mudge added a goal each for the Crusaders. Don Sullivan, Mike Purdy and Harry Mathews scored the goals for the Whalers.
