Crusaders Defeat Sharks 3-2 to End Their Win Streak
Tympanick Scores Four in Toros' Victory Over Saints

  The South Coastal Men's Hockey League had an interesting set of games this past weekend. The Sharks had their 12 game winning streak come to an end at the hands of the Crusaders, while both the Toros' John Tympanick and the Stingers' John Dunn had big offensive games in their team's wins. 


Crusaders defeat Sharks 3-2

Scituate's Pat Byrne broke a 2-2 tie with a goal with 6:55 left to give the Crusaders a 3-2 win over the Sharks to end their 12 game winning-streak. Marshfield's Jim Donovan and Mike Simon scored  a goal each to give the Crusaders a 2-1 lead in the third period. Chris Harrington also of Marshfield had two assists in the game for the Crusaders. Daron Jacobs of Pembroke tied the game with a rebound goal in the third period for the Sharks. The other goal for the Sharks was scored by Mike Crisp.
  Tympanick scored four goals and set up two others in the Toros' 7-4 win over the Saints.

 Joe Craig of Marshfield, Norwell's Peter Cleary and Michael Cashin also of Norwell added a goal each for the Toros. Steve Colella assisted on three goals and Paul Brinkmann had two assists in the win. The Saints were led by Jim Ford and Scituate's Kevin Gee, who both had a goal and an assist each. Charles Ryan and Jim McNeill added a goal each.

  Dunn scored three goals and set up another while Jim Callahan had a goal and three assists in the Stingers' 4-2 win over the Whalers. Harry Mathews and Jim Toner scored a goal apiece and John Guilderson had two assists for the Whalers.

  • A skate was found in the parking lot of the rink last night. If anyone is missing a skate, it is in the rink office.
