Stingers are New Champs
Defeat Toros 6-2 to Win Fall Championship

By Mark Ducharme

The Stingers post season offensive production was at its best in the South Coastal Hockey League Fall playoffs. They had six different goal scorers in their 6-1 win in the semifinals against the Sharks and the Stingers offense exploded again in their finals meetings against the Toros. The Stingers scored four goals in the third period including three in the first three minutes of the period as they rolled to a 6-2 win over the Toros.

They never trailed in the game that was tied twice. The Stingers' championship was their third one in their history and the second time they have defeated the Toros in the finals. Chris Poudrier in his final game in the league finished up in style. The Stingers forward scored two of his team's four goals in the final period.
